Presentation of logistic and technical equipment

On a joint operational logistic area for technical equipment, as a complement to their stand, exhibitors may present large equipment such as shelters, masts, de-mining equipment, etc. Manipulation and deployment are authorised without movement of the platform. 3,000m² outside - special rates

Live demonstrations

Enhance your image by demonstrating your equipment over a tailored obstacle course
Live commentary and large-screen projection of live images or company archive videos
2 presentations per day – approximately 5,000 visitors - special rates

Technological Clusters

To improve the visibility of exhibitors positioned in specific niches which can exhibit in the following dedicated areas: individual soldier equipment - CBRN - simulation and training - night vision - UAVs and UGVs - testing and measurement - operational medicine - embedded technologies…

Consultations of international experts in industrial strategy and development (two to four experts), reserved for general managers of exhibiting companies by prior appointment.

Presentation of logistic and technical equipment

JOLA/ Joint Operational Logistic Area

The presentation of static equipment or systems being brought into action (logistic and technical equipment) can be arranged on the Static Equipment Presentation Area in circumstances when the carrying platform does not have to move. Examples include: loading and unloading equipment and ammunition, assembling structures (tents, shelters), erecting telescopic antenna masts, operating mine clearance systems, etc.

This flat, tarmac area is located at the centre of the Outdoor Exhibition Area. Its location and access are indicated on Exhibition signs.

Only Exhibitors with an Exhibition site of at least 48m² outdoors or 12m² indoors may make use of this area.

However, participating companies may not put up any of their own structures in this area unless COGES’s specific agreement is obtained.

This is a different area to the one used for demonstrating robots (UAVs & UGVs).

Live demonstrations

A 50,000 m² area enables the presentation of equipment or weapons systems being brought into action. The use of advanced audiovisual means and straightforward operational setting will enhance again in 2008 the value and effectiveness of this unique aspect of the Eurosatory Exhibition.

These demonstrations are either:

  • held twice daily with a morning and an afternoon show, coordinated by the Organizer;
  • run by the Exhibitor under his own arrangements at the end of each day.

Two options are available:

Display the capabilities
of your equipment on
a mobility area with obstacles

An obstacle course built on a 5ha mobility area allows vehicles ranging from MBTs (Main Battle Tanks) io light tactical wheeled or tracked vehicles to demonstrate their capabilities.

Demonstrate equipment
and weapons systems in action

Using a deployment area at any time during show opening hours which allows static equipment or systems to be brought into action (e.g. bridges, crossing equipment, antenna masts, etc.)

Technological clusters

Technological clusters:

Improving the visibility of Exhibitors positioned in specific niches and which exhibit on following dedicated clusters, each with a coherent theme:

Those new areas are mixing equipment presentation, dynamic displays and prospective conferences in key domains for the upcoming armed forces.

Individual soldier equipment

The space will gather companies working on the development of equipment for the soldier of the future: clothing, helmets, goggles, boots, ear defenders, high-technology underwear, rucksacks and load-bearing equipment, safety and survival equipment …

Furthermore, the cluster will feature the individual and collective equipment of the future warrior:
- equipped with digital radioelectric communication/navigation system (radio/GPS) – providing a voice/data/images/video network to which each fighter is connected by way of his radio, and to the information system of the vehicle from which they disembarked via their leader
- and, for observation and firing control perspective, with an optronic imagery day/night system linked to the soldier's weapons (observation/aiming function), helmet (image observation and reception) or body (viewer on chest).

CBRN/ Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear

CBRN will welcome the major players in this technological and scientific field for protection, detection and decontamination.

This area will present individual and collective protective equipment and devices, detection and identification systems, decontamination systems …

Training and Simulation

The Training and Simulation area will display the latest demonstrators and devices supplying a real sight of the future of armed forces training.

An « Innovation Show Case » will present emerging technologies in the field of simulation:

Presagis + Isilon (flux de données) : visualisation de terrain et simulation constructive pour la gestion de crise ;
Realfusio (maintenance de système d’armes en environnement immersif) + Newviz (écran 3D sans lunette) ; démonstration de chute opérationnelle fictive et immersive en 3D ;
Thales (à confirmer) : « Commander » (C4I + simulation utilisant une bird table collaborative) ;
IRTS : terminaux militarisés stimulés par de la simulation (type Anticip) pour entraînement à la gestion de crise ;
Bionatics + Supercomputing : génération de terrains complexes en 3D et en temps réel ;
I3M + Total-Immersion : gestion de prise d’otage en environnement immersif

Three conferences are to be held by HPC Project :

Night vision

This area will present the optronics equipment for night vision: thermal sensors, thermal cameras, multifunctional cameras, multifunctional binoculars, light intensification, monitors …

This cluster will have a unique demonstration area with a 20m long by 10m wide night vision tunnel, enabling the demonstration of the displayed equipment at standardized targets.

UAS & UGVs (Unmaned Aerial Systems & Unmaned Ground Vehicles)

This area will feature companies specialised in drones and ground robots.

New in 2008, indoor live demonstrations will take place twice a day in a special 150 sqm demonstration arena for ground robots – with specific areas to feature:
• mobility,
• manipulation,
• exploration,
• ckecking point.

Mini-drones will be displayed too, designed for day/night observation, particularly in urban areas. With a range of a few kilometers, they can fly at low speeds, or hover, at stabilized altitudes.
They function on auto pilot and are highly automated, making it very easy to use, and can be transported in a backpack. The miniaturized ground terminal (size of a PDA) enables the drones to be controlled and can receive video footage in real time.

Embedded electronics

This cluster will gather companies with expertise in systems development, software, equipment, self-contained harden sub-assemblies for vehicles, drones, tanks, motorcycles etc.
