Augmented Common Operational Picture ACOP

ESG

Hall 6 - J310

ACOP uses Augmented Reality glasses to project an interactive 3D visualisation of the battlefield. For better terrain orientation and assessment, soldiers can walk into and through the scalable 3D terrain display and view the operational area realistically from any angle. In connection with a command & control or battle management system, situation information is displayed as tactical symbols or 3D models of land, air and naval assets in near-realtime. ACOP allows you to plan operations, drills and exercises by sharing the situation display with multiple users, regardless of their location.

Innovation character

ACOP uses AR technology to enable an innovative way of visualising terrain and situation on the battlefield including land, air and naval assets – combining the benefits of a 3D map with a digital C2 system. The 3D projection through AR glasses into a real room makes the situation tangible for the users and they can interact with the visualisation intuitively using hand gestures and eye tracking.
