ULTRA-COMPACT 2-WAYS CHARGER -
Custom made bidirectional embedded battery charger. This charger is able to charge any battery technology (Pb, NiCd, LiOn,...) and to have a 230V plug in the vehicle and to export power to the local grid if needed. The "all-in-one" technology is coming from patents we invented for automotive industry, specialy the compactness.

Innovation character

Bi-directional charging is not yet "democratized" in European vehicles.
We believe having a plug available in the vehicle without any additional electronics (charger generate 230V for the plug) is an interesting option.
The re-injection of electricity into the local grid (generators) can help.
The "all-in-one" aspect is in line with the "the less electronics, the more reliable" approach.

Potential for evolution

Axid's ability to develop tailor-made power converters enables us to envisage any type of hybrid on-board electrical system (batteries, super-capacitors, fuel cells, solar).

Energetic transition

The bi-directional nature of the charger means that any battery pack can be used as a "buffer" to optimize diesel savings on a military base with photovoltaics to complement the generators (e.g. air base in Jordan).
Vehicles stationary on the base are used to support the photovoltaic system (isolated site mini-grid operation).
Diesel savings = energy transition.
