ROCUS – Route Clearance Unmanned System

CNIM Systèmes Industriels

Hall 5a - H127
France
ROCUS is able to operate in difficult terrain, combining endurance and robustness. It can inspect, confirm and neutralise the threat (IED) to ensure the safety of soldiers and the progress of convoys. ROCUS is an unmanned vehicle, remotely piloted by sappers who are thus far from the mined area. Tracked vehicle, it has a high mobility and a low ground pressure. It can intervene in all environments and follow troops in the most remote areas (10 hours autonomy).
With an instinctive interface and Bird View mode, the ROCUS is easy to set up and operate.

Innovation character

The new winch & grapple kit on ROCUS enables it to fulfil major objectives:
Turning over various items, including potential threats: The adjustable grapple can be used to turn over various threats
Freeing a stuck vehicle: Thanks to its 2-tonne winching capacity, the robot is capable of freeing another ROCUS or vehicle stuck in complex terrain
The winch can be used with or without human handling.

Potential for evolution

Any type of payload can be adapted on the platform
